May not be the right forum-moderator feel free to move. On June 6, I posted about the dual tire failure on my Cardinal 5er. After the insurance settled, Kinder Camper in Ponca City ordered the parts from Forest River necessary to fix the rig, this was about 22 June. The owner of Kinder,s Shaun, was assured the parts were on hand and would ship that day. As of today, no parts have been received. Kinders started calling Forest River to find out where the parts were, or to try and get a tracking number, and all he got was a recording to leave his name, number and dealer code and they would call him back. 9 phone calls and 4 e-mails since July 3, and still no response from Forest River. When I tried to call today, the recording said they were closing at 5:30 Tuesday and would reopen normal business hours Monday, July 9. Is this the way to run a business? Customer be d---ed, we're closing up for the holiday? One day, I understand, but 5-give me a break! Is this unique to Forest River, or all companies taking this "customer can wait" attitude? We are full timers and need the rig back. Staying with our sons family is good, and I'm grateful he has opened his house to us, but our granddaughter wants her room back! Guess I'm thru venting, don't feel any better but got it off the chest.

The only thing I can say is I have owned TT and 5 er .....TT cruiser rv and 5 er FR....any issues I had were rapidly resolved from both companies. Did not cost anything and was allowed to take it to almost anyone.....the customer from both companies was excellent....
So far no complaints here.....also will say a good thing about CW...they handle any claim I have had so far.....so I had nothing to do but shop in there store....they took care of all the paperwork and details....
I suspect there are a LOT of factories that close for a specific time during holiday times instead of trying to manage vacations by employees throughout the year. I would suspect that if the order was placed before they closed down you may see the parts before you get the tracking number from them.

Relax my friend...you are NOT being ignored. The dealer on the other hand is completely clueless!
In the Elkhart area and other RV Manufacturering areas..."Many plants close down for a week or two around the fourth of July" according to the Factory Tours Guides put out by the Chamber of Commerce. Elkhart, Bristol, Middlebury, Shipshewana, Goshen, Nappanee and Wakarusa.
Then it's business as usual!
Other times you can count on them "ignoring you" are the weeks between Christmas and New Years!

Welcome to Forest River Land. I know my '03 shouldn't be considered but it seems nothing has changed. It took over a month for me to put the Serria in shalpe to travel. Forest River out of Cal. was slow but I thought units from Il. were ok. ,. Anyway.. Good luck..

My father in law went through absolute hell with Forest River. Needless to say, when it came time to buy our TT three years ago, and our 5th wheel this year, we avoided Forest River like the plague. We have had great service from Heartland and Open Range.

The dealer isn't clueless. He has been trying to get tracking numbers since June 26. Forest River does not return calls from him or answer his e-mails. This rig has been a nightmare ever since I bought it and Forest River has been h--- to deal with even when the rig was under warranty. I'm in the market for a new rig when this one is fixed and you can be sure Forest River is not on the list!
Forest River and I are not on speaking terms either. They put different sized tires on mine and I did not know about until I started to blow tires out. we called them and got the run around too. I know I will never buy another forest river product again. I got on my high horse and went to the tire store and bought new tires and wheel for the TT and I have not had a blow out since. Cost me over $1000 but I am the one who was buying replacement tires every time I went camping.
Iv'e had dealings after the sale with Forest River/Cedar creek and have been treated like a new customer, our 07' has those stupid electric Drain master dump valves that by the way are garbage,do yourself a favor and don't buy them, the only thing worse than the p.o.s. parts are the p.o.s customer service!! But Forest River/Cedar Creek stood behind their product despite drainmaster's half-azzed product!!! I'm sure there are others out the that have had problems with their trailers but myself and other "Creeker's" i've gotten to know have had nothing but raves about our rigs and the customer service they provide, perhaps you should by-pass your dealer and talk to Forest River/Cedar creek directly. In my opinion they build the best fiver out there and wouldn't hesitate to buy another or reccomend it!

When they re-open on July 9, you might try calling them yourself. I have had very good luck with Forest River so far. Your 5th wheel is a 2010...did you buy the $150 extended warranty from FR? If so, you might still be covered for your repairs. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.
