Good Morning,

I have a 2002 Monaco Windsor with a Eaton rear axle/differential.

I am in the process of changing the gear oil and the owners manual
specifies Pennzoil Gear Plus Super-EW 75W90 Synthetic or something
with API GL-5.

I can purchase some Castrol Syngear 75W90 Synthetic with a GL-5 rating that is described as being acceptable for Eaton Road Ranger and Rockwell extended warranties, and I just need some reassurance that it's OK for me to use. I don't want to put 14 quarts of it in the differential only to find out there's a service bulletin saying not to.

Thanks in advance.

Ya'll be safe out there!

OK for you to use it. GL-5 Synthetic made by any manufactures will work.

As others have mentioned, any GL-5 rated lubricant is sufficient. I just changed mine again last year and used Valvoline synthetic gear oil.

Depends on manufacturer. Eaton, Meritor etc.
My MH has Meritor rear drive, fluid change interval is 50,000 miles or 1 year for dino oil or 250,000miles/ 3 yr for synthetic.

I replace mine every four years. I replaced it in 2007 when I took ownership and again last year, along with the transmission fluid and hydraulic fluid.
