I'm probably crazy, but in LA, I figure $55/day is fairly reasonable. And both of those parks have weekly rates that are less than $55/ per day.
I'm sure the campgrounds in Barstow are much cheaper, but you're not in LA either. Remember, you're "buying" location, not a resort.
