Sounds logical to me cause it's not working. I do wonder why a PI would blow with a one-time occurrence. Seems like they'd handle any juice issues over and over. It's an expensive one-time thing. What are your thoughts on that?

Great advice and of course, I did today. They ran through some tests with me. He can't say the cause, but he's sending a board and a new digital meter with a new cable to cover all the possibilities. I praised his company highly and now I'll do it publicly. They only want me to return what I replace. Awesome company.

you have it. I thought T/S would not be a problem. Some people have the PI installed before the transfer switch and some after the tranfer switch. If it was after the transfer switch, it could be the contacts are not closing on the Transfer switch. Since you said you had nothing showing on the PI monitor panel.
I have my PI after the Transfer switch.

I have the PI installed right next to breaker panel after the TS. I do have the generator capable setup. Should I connect the generator there in front of fiver vs what I did which was to step down the 50a input cord? Did I do a no-no? If the front generator setup is the preferred or proper method, can you reference a setup I can learn from that uses a small 2000w generator. Would this alleviate my generator open ground issue (code E2) noted on the PI?
