Help I can't get the awning to come out. I started to put my awning out (manual awning),I noticed the lever was already in the down position. I unlocked all of the safety locking devices and looked for the pull strap to pull the awning out. couldn't find it. I think it is up inside the awning. I tried to pull on the arms out ot get to the strap but they won't move at all. Any ideas on how to get it out. I can get on roof but don't have a ladder tall enough to get up to ladder.

I would move the latch from unlock to lock, And then back again. It may have been stuck But if it is unlatched it should roll out manually. The only thing the strap does it make it easier but some people never have or use a strap. Good luck.

sometimes the arms get stuck. try lifting each arm and pulling it out from the awning.

Tie a rope around the arm and slide it up to the top. That should give you the leverage you need to pull out the awning.

Steve.....I think powderman426 has the right idea. Often when they're stuck, you have to grab the roller tube with one hand and manually twist it a 1/4" or so to get the latch to move one way or the other.
