I disagree. The "system" in place here is antiquated and doesn't even have the feature set included in many of the current FREE forum software packages so why would you think their security would be any better?

I've gotten two from him over the last few days. But more alarming, is that I highly suspect this forum as the source for a Trojan virus that I can't get cleaned up. I've gone the last 2-3 years without any malware or virus issues. Upon joining this forum, I've now got problems.

He was blocked yesterday after administration got my report. Admin posted that in the other thread. Have you received a private message from him dated after that announcement?

I doubt that you got malware from this site. With 7 to 10 thousand people on the forum every time I check (there are 7,932 at the moment) one would think that there would be lots of complaints, if malware was coming from the forum.
Regardless, why not post your issue in Technology Corner? (Provide the name of the trojan, if you can.) Probably someone there can help you get rid of it.

I'm still thinking if you ran 2 particular forum members IP with the hacker IP they'd all be the same and you'd find out who it was.

Thanks Tom. I don't know much about all this stuff. I only knew that this forum was the only thing thats changed in my online habits. I'll check out the tech corner. Thanks again.

Tom I personally haven't seen one, but wouldn't a manual block by the user prevent receiving additional from them?

One can't block a nonexistent member. As of yesterday afternoon, the member doesn't exist.
