I noticed yesterday that I have multiple spots on my rubber roof where there appears to be an air bubble.....but I really think it's just spots where the rubber is not tacked to the plyboard.
It's been over 100 degrees for a week now so I'm sure the heat is a factor, but is this normal in general? Thanks in advance for any advice.

It's not normal. We just bought a used 5er and noticed yesterday that where it was bubbled it is now lifting. We need to get it repaired quick because we saw TT with their roof blowing in the wind going down the highway.

I believe that the rubber roof is only glued to the roof around the perimeter...you can usually tell where its glued. Not sure if that's to allow for some movement between temperature extremes or not. Any roof I've seen besides in cold weather is not perfectly flat and wrinkle free.
If you think it's excessive, take pictures and send them to your manufacturer for feedback.

That's a tough one to call. When I bought mine new it had some bubbles in the roof like 12 inches long by a few inches wide. Looking out across the lot there were many new RV's with similar bubbles on the roof. Now 7 years later the bubbles are gone and the roof is tight. I'm thinking it was caused by the formaldehyde out gassing that was causing the bubbles. Hopefully I'm right and my roof is not about to come crashing down around my head.

Agreed guys. I don't see the need for worry yet. However, I'm taking the TT in for other warranty work soon and will surely have my dealer look at it. Thanks for the feedback.

Sometimes I see trailers or fifthwheels going down the highway with the roof membrane all puffed up, for some reason there is wind going underneat that membrane, making it look like a huge balloon.

Rubber roof membrane is made by Dicor: Dicor
They say:
My roof has air bubbles. Is this normal?
Typically, if air bubbles occur they occur during or very soon after the roof has been applied. A couple of reasons for the air bubbles would be that they were not broomed out during application, and we ask the installer not to stretch the material during installation to allow for expansion and contraction of the membrane. Air bubbles will occur with weather conditions and humidity. Air bubbles can also occur at the seams of the roof decking due to flexing and twisting that occurs during transit. Sometimes they occur if there is a significant difference in the temperature between the inside and outside of the unit.
Will the air bubble effect the performance of my roof?
No. The air bubbles will not blow up and pop. They will come and go with the weather conditions, humidity, etc. Please do not puncture the air bubbles. Air bubbles mean there is room for expansion and contraction, lessening the chance of stress cracks later.
