You'd never know that Maddie had never been camping before - she's doing great on her first trip! We were worried, b/c she can be a little barky, but no problems so far (we have a site with a long driveway and good privacy in the back and on the sides, so that helps, I'm sure). She grumbles when someone walks their dogs by our site, and has even barked a couple of times, but she quiets down when I tell her to hush - much better than we thought she'd do - YAY!!
Maddie's calm and doesn't mind being on the cable tie out when outside. She stays on her blanket at night inside the camper, which is good, b/c our new camper is WAY too small for a crate - lol! Of course, when we leave the dogs to go out for a little while, we can tell that they've been on the dinette cushion and the bed, but, oh well... That's fine, as long as they don't tear anything up!
Here's a picture of our new camper. Potsie's in the picture, but I don't know why Maddie wasn't. She must have been just outside the picture frame.
I think they behave better when they are out camping than at home because it is someplace new. I know our two Maltese act much different (better) when out camping than they do at home.
