i have a new 2012 forest River. some one in my family left the sink faucet on, filling the grey water tank up in the middle of the night. woke up to water on the floor leaking out of the camper. the underside of the camper is insulated i think with fiberglass and a tarp like outside. i poked holes in the tarp and water was running out in several areas. my question is does the underneath insulation need to be replaced?
I would or you will have a bad case of mold and no telling what else. Also if it is house insulation it is gone as far as an insulation factor.
Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

thanks, that was my fear. (MOLD) checking to see if it is covered by insurance? my parents used to say "We just cannot have nice things!" stuff happens, did anyone else ever have this happen to them? i'm thinking of adding a drain off about an inch below the top of my tub to avoid this situation ever again.
Hopefully the insurance will cover it but you may try removing the cloth, letting the underside dry and re-access the damage, it may dry out and be fine.
MOST Forest River models use Styrofoam insulation in the belly and getting wet will not damage it. I'd dry everything out with fans on the interior of the RV. Water won't damage the Styrofoam nor will it harm the coroplast covering but the underside of the floor CAN be damaged if not dried.

X2 - Use a dehumidifier for several days and you may be OK.
