I just wanted to check if there would be any issues in opening the roof vent in the bathroom & leaving the fan on to help exhaust some of the heat? Its just that the fan motor is very small & I assume its not meant to run for hours on end? (maybe its fine seeing as its not really working hard, but physically it looks like a weak motor & I dont want to burn it out either.)

I've used ours for exactly that reason for days upon days. Still works fine in it's third year.

They are small, that doesn't mean that they won't last. How big to you think that fan is in your computer...and how long has that been running?? Just saying

Just ensure you turn the fan off before flushing the toilet, otherwise you will pull up some of the smell from the black tank.

Well the fan's getting rid of the black tank smell before you flush too!

It's not the fan motor you should be concerned about.
The bath van is 12v so it doesn't matter if you are hooked up to shore power it IS running solely off the battery. That means your converter is cycling constantly to recharge the battery that the fan is drawing from. IMHO I would not do it.
Buy a $12.00 box fan, which btw will cool the RV down 100 times faster!

I have been running my Fantastic Fan bathroom vent continually most of the summer since we bought the trailer in 2004.
The motor has failed twice in that time period, about every 3 years. Both times, Fantastic Fan has sent a replacement motor/fan/shroud assembly to me for free (including shipping!). These people stand behind their product, no excuses, way beyond the normal warranty period. I wish they made the whole trailer!

The converter in my trailer doesn't cycle. It is on at all times when the shore power is plugged in. The converter both charges the battery and supplies continuous power to the 12V circuitry. It is designed for continuous operation. I have not heard of an RV that operates the way you describe.
