Not even a year old our FW has had a few problems. One of them is the bathroom exhaust vent. Right now it's the stand small fan that isn't even as big as the vent with a manual crank. I would like to see about getting something to replace this (not messing with the warranty) that moves more air and isn't $100 or more. What does everyone use that will move lots of air and easy replacement.

I installed one of these a year or two back. Super simple and cheap. Draws a ton of air.

I just installed a Fantastic fan in bathroom. I think it is the model 8000? Three speeds, manual crank, and moves a bunch of air. Got it on sale at Camping world for around $90. I already had a Maxxair unit in the front bedroom and they are very nice too. Makes a big difference moving some air through the trailer. I figured these two fans on high can replace the entire volume of air in the trialer about every 2 minutes. They are slightly noisier than I'd like, but not as noisy as the other cheapo units. Well worth the time and money, IMHO. They should be standard equiptment. I'd gladly pay the extra up front to keep from having to install them later.

Sounds like the Vortex fan is what you're looking for, also available in a multi speed version. The Fantasic fan is better and quieter but requires removal of the exiting fan including the trim, lid, and frame and existing caulking. I have the multi speed Vortex and it's fine for the bathroom and install was easy. It is too noisy for any other area.

X2 that is what I did too,I put the multi speed one in bathroom.Install was a snap. The fantastic fan in the bedroom required removal of old vent and was a real job.

Vortex was easy to install. Blows a lot of air but a little noisy.

I put in a Vortex. It really moves the air! The fact that it's a little noisy is a good thing. It masks a lot of other "noises" coming from the bathroom.

Anyone have specifications for the AMP draw on the Vortec ?
I have considered replacing the Vent-Line Bathroom power vent with the Vortec, looks easy to install. I have a Fantastic Vent in the front of the RV it draws much less (by a hugh margin) power than the Vent-Line.
If the Vortec is close to the Fantastic in AMP draw would be a plus for our Dry Camping times.
