I kinda understand about folks staying in a park "in town" and wanting pet poo picked up but what about the parks and folks that camp in the remote parks? Do you whine about the deer poo, coyote poo, possum poo, raccoon poo, bird poo, etc, etc, etc? Is dog poo somehow worse than all the other animals that are "wild"? I pick up after my pet but I've always wondered why when the park personnel are not picking up after all the other animals.
OMG, I just realized that fish poo in the water AND they eat poo? NOOOOOOOooooo!!!!!

But I have to admit that we have had to put as much with unruly campers, children that are allowed to run wild as we have had to put up with unruly pets.
I think it's just part of what goes on out there. Seems to be the way it is these days.
On the other hand I see a lot of people enjoying themselves, kids having fun and a lot of great pets too!

Had you read the posts you would see I make the effort to keep my animals quiet as much as I can.
I'll shut the birds up to next time I am out just for you.
After all, why should you get over animals make noise?

You like dogs fine just do not expect me to like your dogs.

Some people are not that thoughtful. That (and they charge because they can) are some reasons we pay a little extra.

Had you read MY post, you would have seen
1) I specifically said I had no doubts about your dogs and their training. and
2) was writing on PEOPLE bringing domesticated DOGS into campgrounds, not wild animals in who's space I am intruding.
I have camped in every one of the lower 48 and I have NEVER been kept up by birds chirping, deer making what ever sound they make, bears growling or fish swimming, so your sentence on keeping all the animals quiet is off-point, and frankly a bit juvenile and asinine.
It seems you are a bit testy on the subject, so I now have to question my unwaivering faith in your ability to control your dogs. If I had a dollar for every time someone who's "dogs don't bark" in fact do bark when they are left alone I'd not be retired, but I could sure fill my gas tank a few times.
But the question remains.. why should I have to listen to someone else's dogs yapping for hours?
Alaska is next! Still trying to fit the pontoons to the RV so We can get to Hawaii!

Correction... I was once kept awake by wolves howling in Yellowstone, but as I said, I was a guest in THEIR backyard, and really, that's why I went to Yellowstone in the first place.
To each his own. I have no intention of offending, but I have definate thoughts on barking dogs.

I have two dogs, and we sometimes take them camping. Yes they bark yes they poot and yes they p. I can take care of the bark and poot and I can have them p in an area that doesn,t affect your tires or chairs.

We just got back from 90 nights on the road and not once did a park ask for any extra money for our two dogs. We always tell them about the dogs ans we stayed in Good Sam, Passport and KOA parks. We always pick up after out dogs. However one normally pays fot services rendered. There is no extra cost to having a dog in an RV park since they dont, shower, flush or drink much water.If a park is going to charge $5 per dog then I would have to assume that the service they are charging for is picking up after the dogs. That would make it a full service park.

Not testy at all. You are simply one more of the many on here that HAVE to find a fault with anybody that posts.
I supported the initial issue with some reality. Reality. Remember it?
One more reason I like dogs more then some people.

Not the state parks though nor the 1000trails campgrounds (not sure about the 1000trails). I'll just say it's not uncommon.
