Pardon me if this subject has already been covered.
We are a Premier member of AAA roadside assistance. Is this sufficient for our truck/travel trailer or should we supplement our coverage with Good Sam?
Thanks!

Also AAA does not have rv service in all areas of the country. Here in north east Ohio it is or was not available when I checked. Best to have a backup plan. JMO

I started with nothing and I still have most of it left

Since GS takes care of my RV and car, I don't need AAA.

Get a copy of the policies for AAA and then Good Sam Platium. Do a side by side comparison /contrast of what emergency road side services each provides for, what areas each will cover, what are the limitations, under what conditions/locations will each policy not provide tow service or emergency road service, what are the tow milage limations, what do they charge you each mile beyond the limit, how many of your vechicles/RV's will each cover?????? Then you decide

I have the GS and the AAA Plus (non-RV)plans right now. My AAA runs out this month, but I am hesitant to not renew it. I have only used my AAA one time and that was for my truck in which the battery was dead and it was in our garage. AAA had it towed to where I wanted it and replaced the battery. Would the GS plan do this?

If your only desire is roadside service, GS or Coachnet might be a better value.
Personally, I keep my AAA for more than just RS. The DMV services (most important) and travel services (maps and online guides) are worth at least the entry level plan. If you think you need additional RS, get a second plan from the other guys.
BTW, I'm not a shill for AAA. Have NOT always been happy with their service providers. Have ALWAYS been happy when I did not go to the DMV office.

Thank you for the post reubenray. In this scenario we would offer to bring a battery to you. You would be responsible for the cost of the battery and installation fees. If we were unable to find someone to delivery a battery we would tow you to the nearest professional service center capable and willing to replace your battery. Please feel free to contact our member services at 800-842-5351 if you have any further questions. Thanks, Zach

I'm disappointed that my price is so much higher than it is for first timers. Why not lower for your best and longer customers?
Mine runs out the end of July and while they took a little off, I've decided not to renew.
I am curious..so, in a few months will I qualify for a 'new' member price?

Because the new member price is designed to get new members, and GS is probably not making much at that price. It's a pretty common practice for companies to do this.
If saving a few bucks is so important to you, there are other ERS companies out there, and I'm sure GS will survive without you.
I see you have no problem using "their" forum for free.
