We're up in the North Georgia mountains! DH *almost* cancelled the trip--we've had a lot of rain in north Georgia and I think we're expecting 60% chance of rain. I hear rumbles of thunder. But I also hear frogs, birds, horses, the occasional cow, and some small children. It's so peaceful and lovely. I told DH if it rains, well, that's why we bought a travel trailer. We brought our mentally handicapped 17yo son with us too. Sometimes he's a lot to handle, but I figured what's the worst that can happen? We have a bad time? We never have a bad time camping. If things really go south, well, that's why our little house has wheels...

You made the right decision to go. I'm betting your son is enjoying himself too; thunder, frogs, and all. I know I would be in my happy place where ever it is you're at. This time of year I like Vogel & Ft. Mountain. The Blairsville area is nice too. Ever been to Peace Valley. Thats a favorite of ours too. Most glad to see yer back into RV'ing again too. Y'all have a nice weekend.

Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!

Awesome. Love north GA mountains. Got back from Fort Mountain SP last week -- great park. Got a TON of rain here in ATL this afternoon and early evening. Bet it is nice a cool up there.

We're up at Trackrock CG, between Blairsville and Young Harris. The little lightning bugs are going crazy out in the woods next to my camper!

Haha. DS has worn himself completely out running up and down the hills. It's 9:20pm and he is fast asleep.

been following your story for a while now, glad you guys are back RV'ing. If you ever come to S GA let me know, i will meet you and share a campfire with you. Yes, camping (especially if you get up to the mountains) is always a good day.

I know it is kind of sappy, but this is the main way we define a successful camping trip. Did the kids have so much fun they wore themselves out?
