Does anyone know how deep the outdoor speakers are on the keystone raptors? I'm fixing to replace mine, and needed an idea before I ordered some. I really didn't want to pull one out until my new ones came in, since they have silicone around them and I didn't want to pull one out, put some more silicone on and put it back in. Just don't want to chance any leaks.

I can't answer your question but can tell you that the marine grade speakers that I installed to replace the cheap stock required enlargement of the hole in the sidewall. It was no biggie, I used a dremel bit. I was able to reuse the housing as the screw pattern on my new speakers was the same.

Replace ours with A high quality Marine grade also. The did not make the complete circle with the silicon on the original's (go figure) They leaked into the cabinet of our fuzion. All better now and sound much better. Looked into the Bose outdoor speakers but decided its a camper not my full time house

I'm looking at kicker. Nice pairs of marine grade for 60-80$ on ebay. I'm just worried about the depth of them. I'm assuming the factory crappers have a pretty small magnet. I just don't want to pull them out, and have problems getting some that will fit.

not sure on your Raptor, but I just changed mine out on my WP, and had 1-11/16", outside face to inner wall. So assume most trailers are built on the same structure.

You can also look for shallow mount marine speakers, check out crutchfield.com and you can search that way, then look elsewhere for better prices, carstereoonline.com, amazon etc....

Don't know about yours, but my upper wall exterior speakers are probably louder on the inside than on the outside...if I was to replace/upgrade them, I would abandon the stock speakers and mount some speakers in the lower metal panel (below the floor level).

Right now, if I'm using the outside speakers, anyone on the inside of the coach better like my music and NOT be into having a conversation.

The little speakers in the radio box are open to the cabinets below the oven/drawers beside the oven and have much the same effect.

Those kickers have a big magnet, and deep cone. I put some in my old Sandpiper. They fit depth wise, but were smaller in diameter than the stockers. I had to make a mounting plate out of aluminum diamond plate. I would pull one out, and measure it. Or measure the back box, and add the wall thickness.
