Been having trouble with my idle. Idles good at first but as engine warms up stays high. I had the coach out last week running her and i had to shut it down because the motor was idling at 2000rpms. I was hoping that the idle would reset itself. Unfortuneatly, two cars rear ended me why i was sitting waiting for the reset. There wasnt alot of damage to the back of the coach but my wife and i felt a pretty big jolt at the time of the accident. I took the coach out yesterday and it is still idling high and now we are getting a bucking sensation from the allison. Could the smack in the back caused this new problem? The insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow to look at the coach. I am going to insist that the coach be checked out at a cummins and allison service center at there expence. Does anyone else have any other ideas.

Take it to a Cummins service center and have them hook the computer up to that engine, should be able to quickly tell why its idling high like it is, probably has something to do also with the surging you talking about as well.

Good Luck!

Roy

May the roads and skies always be clear, and the firewood nice and dry!!
