Their Michelin Tire program is fantastic. We bought tires this year and saved more then $500 over the best deal that I could work on my own. That will pay for a lot of years of membership. I also like the magazine.

I agree that the tire program is good, but the Monaco one (for any Monaco "heritage" brand) is better.
Frankly, the only reason we belong to FMCA is because you can't be a member of an FMCA chapter, like the Beaver club, without first being a member of FMCA. It's a slick scam that FMCA has perpetrated to keep its membership up, although I heard from one of its officers that it is losing members at the rate of ~500/month.
I recognize that there are plenty of people who enjoy going to FMCA rallies and belong primarily for that reason. We don't spend time at rallies and find very little benefit otherwise from FMCA.

Magazine and some of the perks make it worth it for us. It's not all that expensive, and basically another Good Sam Club.

I can't join. They don't support my RV. I have a Class A and they only have Type A!

We have been members for a couple of years and the benefits are not really worth the membership costs. The magazine is 1/4 articles and 3/4 advertisements. Any break on tires or anything else in the magazine can be found just as easily online. So for us it was easier to spend that money on something else.

Why does FMCA identify by "Type" and not the standard "Class"?
