Looking at a new Forest River Sunseeker 3170DS but am concerned about the CCC with the addition of the self leveling jacks. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks so much!

Have HWH jacks on mine. Nice just set the brake push to button and all level.

Your CCC is that tight?

This coach has 2 slides, one of which has bunk beds, so it's pretty "beefy" to start with. The published CCC is 2000 lbs.

According to Bigfoot's website, the shipping weight on their automatic system is 240 lbs. Some of that is packaging, so call it 225 lbs + or - a little.

So that system would use just over 10% of your CCC. Any you haven't loaded up any people, fuel, propane, water, supplies, etc yet.

I am sure some have done it. But at the end of the day it's really a personal decision whether or not you should do it given your camping style (how much you bring with you - probably a fair amount if you're looking at a coach with bunk beds) & comfort level (coming close to maxing out CCC). In your favor is that you live in Florida which is flat (if you stay just there)!

1850 to 2000 pounds depending on year. I don't think it will matter that much.

It works very well on our Triple E GT.
When you use them, make sure that the front of your vehicle faces the lowest site of your camping spot.
Apply the emergency brake and push the button.
In soft areas I put boards under them.

I have a Minnie 27P with dual slide outs. It only took me one trip without a leveling system to figure out what I needed to do. I have the fabrication knowledge, and the facility. I did my research and I ordered my system from HWH though Camping World, and spent a week of nights and a weekend and installed it. Now having it, I pull into a site, level it in minutes, and enjoy my setup time.

Don't cheat yourself, and wished you would have opted for the option while watching the guy pull in to the site next to you and level his coach in minutes. ORDER IT!

If your still worried call HWH and talk to them.

If you head toward levelers, see if you can get "direct acting" instead of "kickdown" jacks. Direct is less complex and more stable but space and clearance on a Class C can be tricky.
