we are still undecided about the value of the boom on our 2013 Montana Big sky. we are not happy that there is nowhere to store extra hose. There are many C.G's where extra hose is needed. We do not care to store sewer hose in the compartments..It is sewer hose you know.We may put a door in the rear fender well where they had one in our 06 Montana 3400. It appears the boom is something that works only under ideal circumstances. On one trip we needed extra hose.On another the sewer was way in the rear of the Rv and the boom would not swing back that far. My initial impression is that it is a dumb thing..but..we will give it a chance to work...

I have removed all external components to the boom. As some have suggested, I have installed a gate valve on the pipe before the new Rhino hose with clear connector was added. The valve allows me to close off any leakage around tank valves that may exist. Keeps my hoses clean and easyly accessible. The dang thing might actually be uable now! Thanks for help,
