As far as exercise for your dog. I have a large Old English Sheepdog. I take her for a daily bike ride so she can get a full run workout. There is a devise you can purchase called a Walkydog. It attaches under the seat of your bike and then you can hook your dog up with a harness. My dog loves it and I keep both hands on the handle bars and the brakes ready. You can but it on Amazon. Hope this helps.

We have an aussie and a brittany. We love campgrounds with large dog parks or nearby dog parks. Our brittany likes to swim, so we look for lake front, lazy river front, or ocean front areas where he can be off-leash for a while and get in a bit of swimming. Those are the good times for doggies when we can find them.

When we can't, it is a lot of dog walks and sometimes doggie day care and doggie day camp. Sometimes it can be a challenge getting them their exercise.

Hmmmmmmm, been fulltiming almost 2 years now and never had a bug problem...not even ants. Don't have a pet either. Could the two be related?

I dont think pets and bugs are related at all. We live in Western Washington and don't get a lot of bugs but when we go south we find many more. I think location location location and how long you stay in one place.

1 - how do you keep your home bug and spider free?

We make sure our windows and door are closed tightly and all food is 100% sealed. That being said, we still gt a few flying bugs in the rig,, but we "relocate" them immediately.

2 - how do those of you living with dogs make sure they get plenty of excercise?

We take Zoey (who needs plenty of exercise) on 2-3 walks a day. We also look for fully-fenced (she's a runner) dog parks in the areas where we are staying. We'll also consider her needs when we stay somewhere for a long time....do they have a dog park or near one? Place to safely walk her? Etc.... things like that.

Enjyo fulltiming!!!!

We've been parked for about 3 weeks in Charleston SC and battling ants on a daily basis. My DH sprays the mounds we find regularly and he also put out granules (the spray works immediately and the granules are more of a long term treatment. He sprays all of the places others have said and that's kept them out of the house. However, we also had them in our jeep! Don't understand that one because the car gets moved regularly! I had read about placing mothballs around and under your rig to help keep mice & snakes away. Nobody said how many to use so I thought...if 3-4 is good a whole box is great! WRONG! We haven't seen any mice or snakes but we nearly asphyxiated ourselves with the smell :-) We spent the next three days digging them out from underneath the MH. We couldn't sit outside because of the smell and when we went to bed at night we could smell them in the bedroom! So, I don't know whether moth balls keep out the critters but strangely, the neighbors don't stop by either :-)

If you have pets be very careful with sprays, pellets, traps and moth balls! Oh...and children, too!!

If dog parks are not available, you might consider doggy day care. When we had our beagle, we took her to PetSmart for the day when we wanted to take day outings without her. She returned exhausted from her day of play with the other dogs.

Hmmm...who knew Borax could be used for all of these things. I checked on line and you can buy it at Walmart :-) I'll be finding the closest Walmart!
