What a great report and pictures of spending a road trip with your dad. Glad you took the time to do this and share it with us. What are the plans for next year when your dad is only 88?

Great trip report. Wonderful pictures. (A bit too far, too fast for my tastes though.)

PS - at 102 I would be headed north, too.

WOW!
That's packing it all in on one shot.
I surprised you got as many photos as you did.
The pictures are great, informative, and to the point of your story.
Glad you got to take your dad on a grand tour with all the big destinations.
Good job and nice report.
Thanks, J&K

What a great trip.

My mother has just done almost the same trip by coach.

Many thanks for sharing.

Steve.

Great trip report! Doesn't matter how quick you had to do it. What is important is that you did it. What I wouldn't give to be able to take my Dad on one more trip.

What a great trip report, I loved the video with your dad, he was so moving (emotionnal) when he saw the Beauty of the great Canyon. I suppose that is the same emotion for all who see it for the first time.
I would like to be like your father when I will be 87 old (if I live to that ) !!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful trip.

What a wonderful trip and wonderful report. My dad looked that good at 87 too. He and mom died a month apart just shy of their 70th anniversary. It is SO good you had that time with him.

I've made all those stops too and to experience with your dad is very special.

Thanks for sharing and for acknowledging our Lord.

Thanks for sharing your trip. I love it when people share photos and stories of their trips. Seems like the truck camper area does more of this than the others.
My wife and I plan on making a similar trip out West in the next two or three years. Thanks for the ideas of where to go.

What a sensational report! Planning to go to Rushmore and Yellowstone area next year and your photos will help plan. Thanks!

My dad died 11 years ago at 85. Boy, he would have loved RVing but never did.

You two are going to be happy about having made that trip for the rest of your lives. I know your mother was with you every step of the way.

I am sitting here, the morning after I posted this trip report, overwhelmed by the kind words of you all. Thank you!

No doubt, this trip was a stretch. We were all exhausted when we returned, but today we don't remember any of the pain of the hours of mindless driving but only the memories we made with Dad during our amazing trip.

I would have loved to have taken 14 weeks to make that trip, but I only get two weeks off in the summer. When I retire in the next 5 to seven years our next trip will be leisurely. At that point Dad will only be 94!

God bless you all...and don't wait to make similar memories. There are no guarantees in life for tomorrow.

I have a motto I live by......I ain't wait'n!

Mike
