What type of outdoor mat do you use outside of the travel trailer? What size and material works best and where do you find one? Thanks for any info...

I have used a large woven plastic rug and a smaller rubber door mat. I got the rug at a lawn and garden store but it was hard to carry around, it began to shed the plastic coating and it began to unravel, so I bought a 2x3 rubber door mat from CW. It gets most of the dirt and doesn't kill as much grass. I am planning to get another rug as I think it keeps more dirt out of the TT.

We bought a few from Wal-Mart. I think it was about $40 and it's big (around 15x10 I think) and it folds up easily and has a storage / carrying strap. We used to just have 'regular' outdoor carpets and rolled them up but that makes putting them in the storage bins much harder - the folding carpet is the way to go.

We have like what Micheleb has except we got ours at CW. Owe don't even use ours much any more. They tend to get dirty if you put them directly on the ground. If there is any moisture at all, it traps underneath it and makes a mess of it.

We bought an indoor-outdoor carpet in 03 that my husband decided to replace as soon as it wore out when he saw an RV mat with his favorite teams logo on. It has been used 80-100 nights a year and has not begun to wear yet. We shake it out and fold it up, place it in a plastic bag so any additional dirt falls into the bag. We also keep a small mat in front of the steps to wipe our feet on.
Even I am getting tired of it but it looks like it has years of use left.
And ours is usually placed directly on the ground.

When I put some carpetint in the PUP (indoor/outdoor) I had a 4 x 5 piece left over. I'm using that.

It's fun to set outside and watch a ground squirrel get some nesting material off it.

We have the woven polypropylene (plastic) RV mat that is commonly found. Bought it off ebay several years ago. Works fine, dirt will sift through, easy to shake out, and can be washed with a garden hose.

We use an outdoor rubber mat about 36X60" we got from Sears. So far, it's done quite a good job in getting the dirt out from under our shoes even on a wet day. Easy to clean too.

We started out using a length of the fake green turf stuff that we had bought from Lowe's "cut to length" section. Will not EVER use that type again. It held water, shed little green pieces everywhere, weighed a ton, and was a PITA to fold/carry/store.

We ditched it and bought one of the woven 10'x 15' rugs you can find at Lowe's, Walmart, CW, etc. We LOVE it! It is lightweight, water runs through, it has loops on each corner if you want to stake it down. It is easy to clean with a hose and it dries in the sun. Super simple to fold up, and it doesn't take up much space.

None. I prefer not to kill the grass on the site even if I have to vacuum inside a little more.
