I just bought some scissor steps for my camper, they were used so I don't have any instructions with them.
I have a bracket just under the camper door that has upward hooks on it, I assumed this would be how the steps attached. I've found the steps are narrower than the hooks.
Am I missing another bracket or something to attach it to the camper? I can't do a direct bolt on, they'd stick out too far. For safety do the steps just sit on those steps or what keeps them from coming unattached?

I have the Glow Steps made by Torklift and they use a u-shaped bracket bolted to the camper and quick release pins to remove the steps. What brand do you have? Can you post a link?

hedge, did you have a single flip down step that came with your camper? I chose to utilize my stock step mounting spot to mount my scissor steps. Similar to your hooks, I bought a piece of metal angle that worked.

I like that setup, but my DW did not like the large step between the bumper and doorway due to the basement height. That u-shaped bracket attached to your angle is bolted just bellow my door frame and has quick release pins so the steps go all the way to the door using the same tread pitch.

I'll have to take a picture when I get home. It's an older camper, '99 Adventurer 810WS. It doesn't have a bumper at all and didn't come with any steps.

Here's the pics, as you can see it has a bracket already mounted that has hooks on it. I think I can build a bracket to drop into the hooks, just not sure what's supposed to keep it there other than gravity.

I have the same bracket, I do not know how to do to fix the step. I thougth drill to holes and screw the step, but need to fix bottom when drive, not sur how to fix it and keep an easy deployment.

That flat hook setup is what I used to have any it really annoyed be. It always seemed like the step was uneven and about to pop out of one side. Not to mention I had to put the steps inside for transportation. I bought some glow steps and I sure like them. The bracket they use has pins and will not come loose. You can also install some locks in place of the pins.
