I have a 2008 CR3705 Weekend Warrior. For the most part the trailer has been fantastic. I took it out last weekend and got to really use the A/C's. I rarely do since I usually camp in the winter.
Anyway, here is what I experienced:
The front A/C (bedroom) fan operation, although on HIGH, was blowing really LOW but still COLD. I removed the sponge filter and cleaned it. The unit was off for about 30 minutes. When I restarted the unit it worked great for the remaining two days. I am not sure what the issue with this unit was but maybe you guys can offer some advice.
The main A/C in the living area worked flawless the entire trip. When I got home and started to unload the trailer, I started the generator and fired it up. After a short while the darn thing started blowing WARM but the fan operation was normal. Any ideas on this one?
I did have a few questions for those that are familiar with these units:
Are these units serviceable with normal A/C gauges or are they sealed units that require special skills/procedures to service?
If the units are serviceable, can anyone please tell me the HIGH and LOW pressures for recharging the system?
What freon type do these units use...R134, R12 or R22?
I would like to start with pressure checks and any obvious problems. The units are run frequently in my driveway and have always worked, this is the first time I have run them for days on end and the units gave me issues.

Sounds like a clogged or dirty filter that you took care of.

Not enough info. Was the compressor running?

Thanks for the time and help!

Well, the only thing stopping you from putting your gauges on it might be no service valves. Many of these type units have no service valves from the factory and are charged by a charge tube that is crimped off and welded shut.
If your unit was service before it might have valves in it now.
Some techs will silver braze valves in if they are evacuating the system. If just wanting to check pressure and super heat/sub cooling, bolt on self piercing tap a line valves can be used. They do tend to leak eventually, sometimes.
If the unit is running(comp&fans),and the suction line is coming back cool, probably not a freon problem.
Check for compressor and fan both running.
Check both coils for being plugged or dirty and clean them as needed. Don't brush them. Use low pressure water from a garden hose and nozzle with coil cleaner.
Depending on your unit and its age it could have r22 or r410, should say on the unit somewhere.
