I think the OP got a nice deal for 614s. I paid $1720 OTD for a set in June.

I also think some of these people do not know about the G614 being a 14ply G load rated tire that is damn near bullit proof. In fact, the store manager made that statement "you can shoot these with a 38 in the tread and it won't penetrate". He said that two days after I bought the tires and was in getting the install. The guys in the shop broke the shoe on the tire changer putting them on the wheels. I used to change tires on semi trucks many years ago and those tires were not this hard to work with!!

Anyway, I think the G614 is the best trailer tire available, for any price, on a 16 inch wheel. I sure do not worry about chug-holes and curbs as much as I used to.
