It is too bad that even some "supposed", mature and possibly retired RVers even on this site think it's just fine to invade the majorities privacy. As stated, common sense, common decency, common courtesy, manners, and any other attributes that make up nice RV folks, were and still are passed up when it comes to upbringing and life's teachings.
And, it's certainly not "if that's all you have to worry about" that only. People don't want to create a prison compound with barriers and more when, number one, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO, and two, they've driven sometimes a long and great distance, set up camp, try to relax and enjoy their surroundings when, here comes some uncaring, no common sense, no courtesy, no thought process, individual with or without a dog, traipsing through their camp.
Obviously, even when people try and talk about it, and the fact that it appears it's by far, the majority that thinks it's rude, that it's not going to sink in. Folks with common sense, decency, manners know they have it, those that don't, DON'T know they don't have it So far, 99.9% of the camping we've done, in 99.9% of the states, campgrounds/RV parks we've been in, have had real nice, caring campers all around us.
Oh well, it is what it is. We'll still have fun. Air heads or not.
I think the original poster over reacted. I see it all the time and it really does not bother me. I actually enjoy talking with people when I am sitting outside under my awning and somebody goes by, I enjoy meeting people. I never try to be a snob. Some folks just don't know the rules, but it is no big deal.

Sojetimes there just is no privacy in those CGs. My daughter & I were sitting at the table playing cribbage when we noticed movement outside the window at Tunnel Park in Banff and realized we were being watched. When we looked closer we saw 5 elk standing there watchng us. Fortunately they didn't say what either of us had in our hand.

It seems that there is so much lack of common sense, common decency, and more now days. It's seems quite OK for folks to simply ignore what might offend others while camping/RVing. I would only do that if, there's an un-occupied space, in between campers. Otherwise, I'd take another route. I mean, would one cut through your YARD if this was at home to get to some other place?

Like the civics class you had in high school, camping etiquette has been slowly fading away. I've noticed the same and often speak to the people waling throuigh the campsite. I stopped a scout leader and his troop once as they were marching right through the site setting the dogs off -- he acted as if that was the strangest rule ever! The again, most people anymore can't seem to find their own state ion a map.

After looking at that picture it reminds me that when we are at dog shows we are parked in CLOSER than sardines, 200 to 500 RV's strong in one CG venue!
ADD to that scenario 1,000's of dogs of all sizes! And you know what? With no CG manager to watch over us:
NO ONE complains
EVERYONE follows common CG rules (even though there are 'none' posted it's a given followed)
EVERYONE from all 50 states represented, gets along and we don't even know each other
EVERYONE jumps in to help another camper with their rig, parking, etc
EVERYONE picks up after their dogs
AND at 8:00 sharp it's common knowledge that it is quiet time, and you can hear a pin drop,
you will never hear one bark from any of those 1,000's of dogs after 8:00..........
only campfires with low sounds of campers enjoying the evening.
Winners celebrating, and the losers saying there's always tomorrow!
Perhaps you'all should come camp with US!
