Has there been any issues with weak front springs on the Ford F-53 chassis?

First question is have you weighed both sides of the front and how do the numbers compare with front axle GAWR?

We have had two of them (a 2000 and a 2001) and had no spring issues with either one.

More issues with them being too stiff. We should all have the luck.

Of course there have! Just look at any bunch of old motorhomes in the back of dealers' lots. The Chevy based models usually sag evenly (and badly), but the Fords sag to one side. These are just the larger Class A models.

And still stiff as always as we need more weight in the front.

RE; stiffness. They don't have a lot of SPRING (IE: not much loating range), but they do support the weight - until they don't. Just look at the shape of them.

Well,
As stated, there's way more issues with the F-53 Chassis fronts as being too stiff as opposed to being too soft or worn. Take for instance our previous coach, a '99 Bounder 34V. The GAWR of the front was 7000K. When weighed, it came in at 5500. Talk about over rated for the weight! Now, the rear was a different story. It's GAWR was 13,500 and it came in at 13,300.

Some on here have turned to the Kelderman System for relief in the front end and better ride. It's pricey, around $3500 or more but, I've not heard of any complaints on here about that aftermarket F-53 setup.
