That's great! That CG owner obviously has a conscience. My wife fell in the shower at a CG in Wisconsin, and, not only were they not concerned, I had to take her to the emergency room 12 miles away myself.

Oh, your poor wife! I got queasy just reading the story. Hope she is better by now, and thanks for posting a good news story. People who do the right thing should be praised publicly!

I tripped over a fire ring in the dark once. Skinned my leg, bled a lot, and oooooh, it hurt! I was lucky no bones broke.

Accidents do happen - glad you had help nearby. Wishing you much safe happy camping to come.

Just to give you all a quick little update. My DW was released from the hospital today after surgery to put a plate and some screws in her elbow, now for the good part. We had to move sites once to accomodate those with reservations but the Country Campground still had room for us after some shuffling. However, last night being a big beach bash in Detroit Lakes, there were no spots available but the DW was to be released the next morning. What to do? The owner told me to dump my tanks while I had full hook ups and fill my fresh water, then move to his yard at the house, where he gave me power for the night, truly amazing folks, then, no charge for the evening. He would no take my money, I even tried to slip 30 bucks into his coffee fund at the office but his wife caught me. Can't say enough about them. We are now home after our little trip, safe and sound where the DW recovers, thanks for all your well wishes and Happy Trails!
