We are thinking of heading up to Maine, Narrows Too in Trenton, ME. Does anyone know if there is Verizon cell service there? We were in Bar Harbor a couple of years ago, and Verizon was very spotty - at best. No coverage will be a deal breaker, family must be able to reach us - medical issue back home. I would call Narrows, but they are corporate now, not sure if I would be speaking to someone that was local.
thanks

I have Verizon and we just went there last year. I don't recall any problems with Verizon cell service. I also used a Verizon Mi-Fi there. In Acadia National Park in remote areas the service was spotty but at the campground it was fine.

We were at Hadley's Point campground for the last two weeks and all around Acadia during that time. Our Verizon hot spot and cell phone worked great at the camp ground and in Bar Harbor, but was spotty further out on MDI.

Well I dont wonder. 20 years ago I was chained to a desk in an office and on that desk was the phone and the computer. Now I can spend time teleworking and enjoying beautiful sights and weather in the locations of my choice.

OP here. I wouldn't have the freedom to leave!!! That's what. I have elderly parents (90's) that I must stay in touch with when I travel. Yes, I would prefer the peace and quiet of no cell or email, etc, but family circumstances are what they are. If good cell service is the price I have to pay to travel, then so be it.
Thanks for the responses, it sounds like Verizon has improved their coverage in the Bar Harbor area.

I asked the question only to find out what you would have done if the situation you're going through happened before the cellphone was invented.
I sure didn't mean to hurt you in any way.......I'm sorry if I did.

op here, no offense taken, just explaining why cell coverage is a priority for me.
