Here is a time line so far on a Snow Performance water injection system I install on my 03 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel.
5-8-12
We just finished our install of the Snow Performance MPG-Max on 03 cummins with WVO system. We put the first miles on it today worked perfect using mostly water at this time 20/80 mix. I have not put enough miles on it yet to give milage numbers next week going on a 300 mile trip and I will post my new numbers then.
5-16-12
Picked up 1.5 mpg a little over 10%, pulling our little RV, egt's were lower and climbed smooth up any hills, there is a good amount of hp increase. I still need to adjust the settings a little I sucked down the tank in about 300 miles. I am going to burn up the rest of the 50/50 mix then run 100% water I will update with those numbers.
5-25-12
Just finished up the 50/50 mix same results 1.5 mpg better, cooler egt's and more power, I am still going though the 7 gallon reservoir on a out 300 miles, I will be back on the road in the next day or two running 100% water I will keep you posted.
6-02-12
1800+ miles down on my last trip pulling our TT, total miles so far with the Snow kit 2300 and no problems running the Water/Methanol and WVO at the same time. I did get more miles per gallon of water since adjusting the settings, last checked and had about a third of a tank left and went a little over 400 miles. The last part of the trip I used only water and got almost 1 MPG better but I did not have the added expense of the Methanol.
6-20-12
Well we just got back from a 3 week 3000 mile trip pulling our TT, and ran only filtered tap water and still on track 1 MPG better, lower EGT's and a little more power going up hills. Over all it has been investment.

How are you mixing the water with WVO?

I'm wearing my teeth down to nothing thinking about buying a kit for my Dodge. I'm considering one of the Devil's Own injection kits. I've got the power but need to get my charge air and EGTs cooler than it is now. Water is cheaper than a larger turbo or aftermarket IC.
Congrats on the positive results!

The water is coming in on the air intake side and the WVO is feed through the fuel system. I was thinking about upgrading the intercooler but choose to Snow system based on the numbers you get more HP, torque, lower, EGT, and it cost less, so a win win to me.

Got to read up on this technology. Know some of the old Navy turbo prop engines had a water injection system but never understood it since our P3's in the mid 70's had been upgraded beyond the water injection technology.

Water injection for gas engines had a brief period of popularity in the '60s but fell quickly out of use when it was discovered it was slowly damaging the engines.

I used water injection on an old 454 in the 80s to allow a bit more spark advancement without preignition knock. It worked well for my towing needs back then.

For the engine that has to grind hard day after day it is hard to beat OEM set-ups in the long run. I know when I get pushed beyond my limits for a while I was want to lay down for a while. Having an engine get tired and lay down is NOT a good thing based on personal expereiences.
