I cannot get enough slack hose to get properly wet/rinsed. I finally bought a spare hose keeper, and cut the one in the shower stall, so that the hose can be fully used.

Used a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel.

We just simply disconnected our hose, by-passed the the little plastic dohicky, and reconnected the hose. Easy and it works just fine.

As the others have said, I just removed the hose from it. The doohickey works just fine holding my razor.

great idea! I don't understand why they install the shower heads so low. our first stop after we got our trailer was a supply store for a longer hose and a second mounting bracket. we also have our thing bypassed, never had a problem though the minor OCD in me would like it either used or removed. might have to add that to hubby's to do list, or figure out how to do it myself.

We have always just unscrewed the Hose and By passed that stupid Do hickey!

I understand that it is designed so the Hose can't drop into the Shower pan and backfeed Grey Water into the fresh water tank!

That grey water would have to be a few feet deep to get past the faucet, and then when you turned it on it would flush the hose. But codes is codes!
