I left the 7 pin plug plugged in when I plugged the tt into the house power. Have I damaged something? It was plugged in for about 18 hours.

Not likely. If you did, something would be wrong with the wiring somewhere.

Is there something not working as it should to make you ask? I don't see any reason why it would damage anything. The 12v sent to the battery to charge from the converter will not be sent to the trucks electronics due to relays in the electrical system.

Thanks for the replies. I have not started the tv yet, but the ac in the tt is working.
I am new to this solo traveling, and don't quite understand the electric, batteries, etc. I have always heard that you do not plug into ground power when the 7 pin is plugged into the tv.

Not true for all trailers and TV's. My 2010 Cruiser 5th wheel does send power via the charge line on my 05 Chevy HD. If I am connected to house power and have the 7 way connected I have 13.8 volts on the truck battery. As for damaging anything depends on the voltage your trailer would send to the TV. In my case the 13.8 will not do any damage.

It will not damage anything. It may or may not have charged the TV battery(s) depending on the model of TV you have.

What is the reason you would ask? I have for the past 5 or6 years plugged the trailer into the house to charge up the batt and cool down the fridge for 24 hrs before hitting the trail.Never even thought about it.On my F150 the the 7 pin plug only powers the trailer when the key is on. The only thing I have to remember is to light a burner,to make shure the gas will get to the fridge.Like I said, never a problem and I have never really thought about it.

We've stopped overnight several places and left the TV and RV connected to each other. And we've plugged in shore power with no ill effects at all. Is there something that I don't know?

That should not have caused any problems. Let us know if you have found an issue, otherwise Happy Trails.
