Well, Thursday morning Max the cat did not look right so I took him to the vet before going camping. Vet didn't see anything much, but did blood work. I was awakened Friday morning with a call from the vet. Terribly high kidney values. An acute kidney failure on top of a chronic kidney failure. He was almost 15 and had a bout of pancreatitis a year ago, but had seemed normal since then. Left campground and drove into Nashville to say good bye. I will post a picture of him after I get home. He was a sweet boy and the vet's office really loved him for his friendliness and affection. That leaves his sister Sophie as the only cat. She is 2 years out of pancreatitis. Watching her close now. Max, you were a great kitty and will be missed by all of us that knew you!
