Hello to all!
Please , I need an advise .
Which campgrounds membership to purchase
in my situation .
I was rving full time for over 3 years,
mainly in Mexico .
Now I need to go for extended time, 1 year or more
back to California .
I need to be not far away from Los Angeles .
I have small class c RV and 2 dogs .
Which RV park membership would be
the best for me ? I need and want to be able to stay
long term . Saving money is very important .
Do not care about fancy stuff, pool etc , just dogs allowed,
class c, over 10 years old allowed and no crime like in
permanent trailer parks often happens .
Can squeeze up to 1500 doll for membership .
Would like to be able to park with water and dump
for no more than 400 a month . Have own strong solar .
Can someone help ?
greetings e

Why do you need a membership..???...just contact some parks and inquire about long term stays...but, I also question, as you say... "over 10 years old allowed and no crime like in permanent trailer parks often happens"...isn't that what you're trying to do.......just sayin....if you feel the need for a membership, you might look into Thousand Trails as they have several parks near LA....Craigslist and Ebay should be your friend...Dennis

Discount membership cards are not usually accepted by CG's for long term stays because they are based on a percentage which is too BIG a discount on a monthly/yearly rate. The discount cards are geared for daily rates.

All CG's offer monthly and/or yearly rates. Some post it on their site many you have to call to get rate. Find a CG in the area you want to be and call them!

Nearly ALL campgrounds offer a discount with monthly or weekly sites. Some mobile home parks also have RV sites.

Which ones to choose from is another story. Los Angeles covers alot of territory, so do you want to be north, south or east of the city.

I agree, find a place and just make the best deal with them that you can. Save your 1500 for something else.

$400.00 per month, near LA with no crime, nice area etc., may be too big an order. ANY place that is $400.00 a month near LA is going to attract a whole lot of exactly what you are looking to avoid.

I have the same question but in English as a first language. The two parks I have found are quite expensive and RV's need to be less than 10 years old. Mine is a 1998 with only 42,000 miles, just purchased last month. It's in tip top condition. One park will make an acception but the price is quite high. Something like $800 per month and they meter the electric and don't provide cable/internet. This one is in Van Nuys. I can't seem to locate other parks in the area that are for vacation or seasonal; most seem to be where people live full time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

When I needed a 9 month space in LA, I checked Craigslist for "RV parks" and found a great space in Brea. About $500 per month with full hook-ups. Don't have the link as it was 2 laptops ago and lost all links.

Great manager who watched my trailer when I went home every weekend.
