if you like scenic drives, Flaming Gorge is a good one. And if you like fossils, Dinosaur Nat'l Mon is worth it. Green River Campground sits right on the river and is well shaded with big old cottonwoods.
Up on top of the mountains at Flaming Gorge is Firefighter's Memorial campground with water, dump and some elec I think. South a mile or two is a little forest service campground with vaulted toilet, and much cheaper of course.
