Accident damage would be covered, but a leak from any other source wouldn't. A broken pipe, human error - covered. An ordinary roof leak - not.

Can't speak for your insurance company's adjuster but it may not be covered. If you had a tree branch fall and make a hole/leak that would be covered. A leak from lack of maintenance should not be covered. That is only fair.

Modern RV roofs are very prone to having joints open up and leak. I paid $3,000 this spring for a new roof on my 2006. Didn't even try to file a claim.

Okay, I posted the pictures. They are a little big so apologize in advance. Insurance RV expert came out to look at it today; not sure what I expected but he didn't look like much of an expert.

Anyway, the leak in the fan/skylight area in the restroom was from a broken fan cover which was caused by lots of sun and heavy storms. The sun dried up the cover/lid and the heavy rains cracked and ultimately broke through which caused water to leak into the area you see.

The leak in the kitchen floor appears to be coming from the refrigerator access area on the outside back of the RV. It was not sealed right and water is leaking from there to the kitchen from under the floor; if that makes any sense. There is not a leak on the inside of the RV and he says the roof looks like it's still in good condition. Just needs some re-sealing.

I'll see what insurance says in a couple of days. Opinions are welcomed. The TT is only 4 years old. I understand there's a lot of maintenance and TLC involved with having a TT and I have done my own maintenance; i.e. sealing, washing, fixed running lights, etc. However, this is beyond my control and in my opinion, I should not be held liable.

To top it off, I have a huge ant problem. I put Terro throughout the TT and popped (3) cans of smoke (fumigator stuff) into the RV. Hopefully that does it but I doubt it because I'm stationed in Ant infested Florida!!!!

Keep you posted!
