Can't beat Sharkbite for those cases when you can barely reach the fitting with one hand. Would I replumb a house with them? No, but they are great for inaccessible spots.

I got in a situation replacing an outside faucet where it was impossible to get the plumbing dry enough to solder copper pipe. I kept having water migrate into my job site. The shark bite fitting came to my rescue. I fabricated the section with the faucet separately and then used a shark bite to couple it to the wet house plumbing.

Just finished remodeling both S&B bathrooms. Inserted Sharkbite shut off fittings into the copper waterlines to both tubs & to one shower. Don't know why they didn't put shut offs in when they built the house. I always had to shout the water off to the whole house when working on the bathroom faucets.

Add the similar Watts and SeaTech brand fittings to your list. Odds are that a local hardware store will have one or the other, if they don't stock Sharkbite or Gatorbite brands.

All you need is the disconnect clip and you can take the fitting apart using one hand. I just did it yesterday while replacing my outside hose bib.

For sweating copper, bread stuffed into the offending leg will stop the water long enough tho get it soldered. It will dissolve and exit the system once you are done.

So much easier IF/when you want to change anything or have another problem.
Yeah...bit more expensive but I like the fact that you can remove & reuse the connectors.
That is a nice feature. And if you don't have the release tool, a properly adjusted Crescent wrench will release the fitting.
