That is the kind of trip my 24 year old son would salivate over. LOL Not my cup of tea but he sure loves it!

Yaaah ... love the 4x4 trips! We've had some muddin' fun over here on the Pacific side too. This was the last trip where we took pictures.

Thanks for all the comments. Just a few answers...

Yep, you're right DesertHawk - I've just replaced the rear brakes - this set lasted 686 miles - ha ha, that is what I get for playing in mud and wet sand Plus I spent over an hour jetwashing it all off Sunday night.

Dak - I got the Suzuki stuck in the mud - I knew I would in that hole - more of a chance to use the winch to self recover rather than recovering other people. However, later on Sally managed to drive get a tree stump jammed under a front spring - had to be dragged off, so one-all on that score.

Cap'n Bob - Surprisingly Sally is actually the driving force for our 4-wheeling - it was her idea to get the Suzuki

Boatycall - Flat towing might be an option, but there are a couple of problems - firstly I've got to replace the front springs, the existing ones have gone inverted and a previous owner has countered with stupid elongated spring shackles. Apart from acting like anchors when driving off road, they also screw up the caster angle so I can't flat tow at the moment. Technically the truck is rated to carry 2500 lbs of payload and tow another 6600 lbs at the same time. However, even just towing the 2100 lbs of the Suzuki I'd want to have the Suzuki brakes working, otherwise it is a lot of pressure on the brakes of my truck. PS - love your Suzuki, especially the chicken.

Bigfoot85 - Your mud looks just like our mud

Steve.

Looks like you had a great weekend---you were lucky with the weather----PLENTY of mud after all the rain we have had.
We have 'retired' from our mud-plugging days but we still love our 4x4 truck and often have to help the RV's/m-homes that we hang about with LOL.
Looks like you cracked it with your battery.
You should be playing in the sand this winter (with a bit of luck !!)
