I'd say nothing more than a Pup-up due to wind resistance and even that could get tough if you have to travel over some mountains. You know first hand from driving it that the 4cyl Tacoma doesn't have much pep even empty.

I tow a 15' TT with a half ton Chevy V8 and I wouldn't want any less truck. Wind resistance is the real deal!

I towed a popup with a 4 cyl toyota truck (1985 I think) and the truck could barely tow it. Weight was around 1600 lbs.
