Just finished writing an email to your friends and family about your RV'ing travels on the road and hit spell check before sending and.......
spell check stops on every MH, CG, RV, TT and TV and doesn't know what to replace it with? Except for the TV it wants to change that to television!
It's then you realize you are still in 'forum mode' and your family would have had NO CLUE what those letters meant.

No, I don't worry about it. If I find an error, I'll correct it, if not it goes out. If anyone questions me on it, which they never have, I would just tell them I was twitering, tweeting, or whatever it's called - which I have never, ever done.

Same thing in the field of education. So many initials and acronyms that you sometimes have to search on the internet to see what you are talking about. Then every district has a tendency to call things by a different names.

When you do the spell check, one of the choices you're given is "ADD TO DICTIONARY". Do this with each acronym you use when it checks it, and it won't ask any more after that.

With my family it doesn't matter what you use, it is a CAMPER and no matter where and how you do it, you are simply CAMPING.
I start tossing the terms we use here around here and they look at me like what are you talking about.
2011 GulfStream Amerilite 25BH
2007/2003 Ford Expedition
Nights camped in 2011 21
Nights camped in 2012 16

I don't use the common abbreviations seen here and elsewhere because I know there are people who do not know what they mean and are afraid to ask. I think excessive use of forum abbreviations sounds a little bit elitist to newcomers and I don't want to sound that way. I don't understand what is so difficult about spelling out "tow vehicle" instead of typing "TV" either.
