As I was going through the forums today I was constantly barraged by birds chirping and horns blowing. I don't want to mute my speakers or turn them down as I require them for other tasks.
What gives and how can I get rid of this annoyance?

Yeah and while we are at it I'm annoyed that someone has the gall to put locks on the doors of 7-11 stores when they are open 24 hours...now that's annoying! 
BTW...the annoying sounds must of worked for the advertiser because it got your attention didn't it??? hahaha

If you are using Internet Explorer -
MVPS Host File
You can use a HOSTS file to block ads, banners, 3rd party Cookies, 3rd party page counters, web bugs, and even most hijackers. This is accomplished by blocking the connection(s) that supplies these little gems.
Example - the following entry 127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net blocks all files supplied by that DoubleClick Server to the web page you are viewing. This also prevents the server from tracking your movements.

I have no idea who the advertiser is as I wouldn't look. If it persists I will look and make a mental note to never use that company!

I use FF with AD Block Plus and never have those issues.

Thanks for the Ad BLocker Plus add on....that horn is the WORST pop up I've dealt with...
