Is there one ad in particular that does this? I am running IE9 and always have my speakers on, see all the ads, but have never heard any horns, whistles, etc.

Another thumbs-up for Firefox AdBlock.

I had on headphones and was listening to music while reading RV.net. That annoying car horn blasted in my ears. Once was enough.

Do these people sit around at morning meetings brainstorming on ways to irritate their readership?

X3 AdBlock Plus.

no horn here or anywhere else.

Firefox Browser.

Bet this little annoying advertising gimmick will really cut down on forum participation.

I might have to temporarily turn off AdBlock Plus just to see what all this horn blowing is about? But I also don't understand why some marketers believe that annoying your viewer, is going to benefit whatever message you're trying to get across? If anything, it just creates animosity with your audience, so don't see how it achieves anything positive in the end?

So far, as far as I can tell, this is JUST the Pleasureway ad that is doing this. I went to their website and sent them an email about how annoying this was and how irritating their potential customers probably isn't a great advertising strategy.
