Wow!
I know a lot of us have these tires on our RVs as a recommended "second best" to Michelin XPS Ribs.
Has anyone had the "These tires may develop a separation at the tread/belt edge" problem that's prompted this recall?
I currently have 4 of these tires under my Fiver, ranging in age from 09-11.
I don't recall "registering" these tires...
Could be a lot of tires to replace and a long wait (Potential Number of Units Affected: 799,900)?

I've got 8 of the Commercail TA's on my rig. Got them to replace TA's that were shucking treads and popping.

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Here is the formal notice from BF Goodrich:
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/voluntarysafetyrecall
The website includes a link to the letter that will be going out to registered owners of the recalled tires.
I have four under the trailer and a spare, purchased in April of last year. Thankfully, no problems with them.
Called my tire dealer today who said they'd just heard about the recall and warned the problem would be getting his hands on replacement tires. A sudden demand for 800,000 tires of two specific sizes will quickly drain the pipeline. Better act quick if you don't want to wait a few months for replacements.

Gooo... China Pops.
I am amazed that a company would recall them. Maybe there's still hope.

Why are the other sizes O.K. Are they made different or what? Will the others be add on to the recall later? Are we safe?

There goes some of the China hysteria. My recalled BFG's were made in Indiana!

Hmmm..when is the last time you saw a recall for Carlisles or Duros or Tow Masters...They all lose treads or blow up on a regular basis..Could it be they just don't care?
