I understand my fridge has to be pretty much level. So my question is is levelness more inportant front to back or side to side? And if I get my level bubble so the bubble barely touch's outside edge of bubble is that good enough or not? Always wondered so thought I would ask.

If you are level to 1 in. in 8 ft., you're good to go.

Is side to side or front to back more important?

Front to back on the trailer or motorhome is the same as side to side on the fridge and is more important.

Here is what Norcold has on their website in the FAQ section:
How level must the refrigerator be?
If you have a gas absorption refrigerator, normal leveling of the vehicle is sufficient. The refrigerator is made to operate within 3 degrees off level side-to-side and 6 degrees off level front-to-back (looking at the front of the refrigerator).
That should pretty much answer your question. I would assume that any of these LP fridges (not just Norcold) will be similar.
For the most part, if you are comfortable in your RV, so is your Fridge

I forget the number of inches per degree but when I did the actual calculations based on my wheel spread on my 29' rig it was something like 8 inches or so. Based on that I concluded that if the rig is level enough to be comfortable in the fridge will do fine. If the mfg comments on degrees is correct the 1/2 bubble comments don't seem to jive - at least not on my rig.

Remember, the more perfect level you get, the better the refer will operate. Doug
