I know this has been asked and answered several times, but will someone be kind enough to refresh my memory on how to clear the "change oil now" message on the odomoter of a workhorse chassis.

Thanks

I would have to get the book out but it has to do with the gas pedal. I believe that you turn the key to accessary. Push the button by the odometer and pump the gas pedal five times. Then turn the key to start the engine. If you need for me to I could go out and look at the book.

I think it goes like this. With the engine off, keep your foot off the brake, turn the key all the way to start, pump the accelerator 5 times.

Quote from the 2006 Gas RV Workhorse Maintenance Guide below.

"To reset the oil change reminder, turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position but do not start the engine. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds, and turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position for at least 10 seconds."

Got to thinking about it and just went out and got the book. The book says:
1. Perform oil change
2. Turn ignition switch to on position but do not start the engine.
3. Fully press and release the accelerator petal 3 times within 5 seconds and turn the ignition switch off for at leasst 10 seconds.
4. Oil life counter on the engine controller will be reset to start a new cycle.

Hope this helps

Thanks guys. I knew there was some pump the gas pedal trick but I could remember the sequence.
