Doing some summer camping in our voltage 3905 this weekend and it is hot in southern Utah. We opted to stay in an rv park with full hook ups.

Wanted to ask if anyone has any tricks for helping the AC out? Seems the inside RV temp is about 15-16 cooler than outside air temp. As an example the last couple of days has been hitting 100-102 as a day time high and inside RV is hitting 84-85. Is this normal?

Our voltage does have the dual AC option and we are running both units connected to 50amp service.

Put some of these pillow thingys in the roof vents - they're a huge source of heat.

I have a 20x40 tan sun shade netting that I use to shade the top and the west,or sunniest side. This is 90% block, and it makes a big difference on TH inside temp. Also have the aluminum waffle insulation from Home Depot ,cut and stuffed in all the windows. If we camp at the Lakes around here in the summer, its the only way we can survive. Also have two AC's crankin and 2 12v Fantastic fans blowing the air around.I also pre-cool the TH at the house before we leave..Anything you can do helps out.good luck

Aluminum waffle roll stuff is the hot ticket, i also have it in almost every window even with our grey lite 31 tinted glass, works great, and we use the vent pillows. But then again we have a 4 1/2 ton Areocool swamp cooler system that does the job even if its 118 here in the desert.....I custom made it.

This post is useless without pictures.......

Block windows.....Reflex thinsulate (Home Depot, Lowes etc.)
Awning out for some shade effect.
Block the skylight/vents
Crank up the A/Cs early

Clean filters
Run A/C fans on high setting

As a last resort take turns sticking your face in the freezer section....don't touch anything with your tongue

I have a thermal blanket over my front windshield, not a great view, but sure keeps the cold in.. as mentioned the reflective windshield sun shades are nice too..

How much air moves out of the main AC ducts? There are quite a few of them, but it sure does not seem like much comes out of each one. The AC in the front bedroom puts out a lot, but is just one spot.

The 'aluminum waffle' mentioned above is called 'Reflectix'.
It is the instant, inexpensive cure and can be found at home depot or lowes.
You must stop the heat wherever it is coming in.
Cover the affected windows, vents, skylights, maybe windshield.
It will get nice and cool inside then.
A fan or two to move air also helps.
