Just curious who uses a CB anymore- is it worth having- or is it just dead air nowadays?

I have one in the TV. Still a few enthusiasts out there. Trucker's and off-roaders mainly. I don't use it very often, but will tune into the trucker's on occasion if I'm trying to find out what traffic is doing up ahead. The language can still be rough, so if the kids are in the truck, it usually stays off.

I sed to use it a lot for traffic info. Nowadays when I turn it on to see what a jam is about I wonder if it's broken - it's so quiet.

Have 1 on my motorcycle. Sometimes its just garb from the local dirt haulers. Sometimes its useful. I found it to be more entertaining along I-40 than any other time; I got in a good conversation with a pair of trucks as we leapfrogged across Arizona. Any other time I use it for bike-bike communication.
