How do you mount your Dish Tailgater when in use? Would like to see some DIY type mounts if any of you have made and use them (pictures would be the best). Right now I just put the Tailgater on the roof when in use, but I am getting tired of climbing up and down the ladder of the fifth-wheel with the Tailgater dish in tow.

The VuCube mount will work as the tailgater is just a simplified version of the VuCube 2000. We have the mount attached to the ladder and is locks the unit in very securely. Works great and there's no need to take it down to operate as long as you have line of site.

Thanks for the replies, but I am with ADAD437...I refuse to be robbed. I am looking for a DIY project type of mount. I think I can come up with somthing for way less and that will work just as good if not better.
As for the ladder mounts, I would still have to climb the ladder to get the dish above the roof line if the back of the 5er isn't pointing south.

I usually just set my tailgater on the ground or on a table, we park in many different orientations so a single mount on my trailer might get the view to the sky blocked by trees, mountains, and other obstacles.
I have a cable lock that I lock the tailgater to my trailer with in case someone decides they have sticky fingers and want to take it. true my lock and cable could be cut but the same would be true if you build a mount on the RV that they can also cut whatever you have set up.

Hmmmmmmm...... I'm sure if you are a handy type, you can come up with something for less than the $100 cost of a VuCube mount. HOWEVER, be aware that you have some facts wrong. If mounted properly on the ladder, as recommended by VuCube, the antenna will have 360 degree view of the sky. I only have to take mine down if there are trees in the way, no matter which way my campsite is facing.
For me, not being very handy, the $100 was money well spent......
