1979 Chevy Malibu station wagon. 307 c. i. V-8, 4-speed manual transmission with floor shifter and air bags in the rear coil springs. We pulled a Coleman pop-up with it for about a year. It was also my very first car with air conditioning. I loved that car, but when it started to age it all fell apart at once.

The first towing vehicle I drove... my parents 91 Ford Aerostar 4.0 AWD. Pulled a 1500# Coachmen pup. Very comfortable ride.

Then I bought a 98 Ford Ranger 4.0V6, 4x4, 4.10 rear. Pulled the same pup then a 3023 Trailmanor. Took it across country, through the Rockies, no problems, no complaints. So that was MY first tow rig.

Funny thing is that Ranger and Trailmanor combo got exactly the same MPGs as I now get with the diesel and 5ver.

Green 1960 F100 narrow bed 223 six and 3 on the column

Got it for 400 bucks while a senior in high school (1967). Hauled many loads of sand for the infield of our ball field. For fishing I carried a 12ft Jon Boat in the bed.

Loved that truck.. wish I had it back right now. My Grandpa taught me to drive in an old dent side ford with a 3 speed automatic. Thats probably where my love of Ford trucks came from.

Actually the M is nothing more than a letter. Just to seperate them from the Windsor and the Cleveland.

We towed our first travel trailer which was a 17' 1978 Prowler with a 1991 Explorer. Now we pull 33' with an F350.

I too seem to have a love for Fords. 1975 F100, 2 1979 Broncos, 2003 F350, 1965 Merc M100 and a 1966 M100

1975 chevelle, 402 big block, turbo 350, 2.73 gear, and there are no pictures of us dumb kids with the boat chained to the bumper(young and dumb). upgraded to an 86 chevy short box with a nice 400. towed everything with that truck and really miss it.

Well I might have a gray beard but my first tow vehicle was a 2002 Honda Odyssey(new) with Trail Cruiser 21RBH(new) for 3 years. Then leased a 2005 F150(new) Scab 5.4, 3.73 with 2006 Crossroads Cruiser CF29BT(new). When the 5 year lease was up I picked up a 2008 GMC 2500HD Ext cab(used) with 6.0 l, 3.73 with 6 speed transmission and still have the Cruiser for our 7th season.
