We have Dish pay as you go now in our coach but are moving and was thinking of going to Direct TV in the house and coach. I was going to ask for three recerver that are free and put one in the coach. We have a 2011 coach but only 1 LNB on top so we can only get 110 or 119 at a time. Will the new recerver work in my coach with only one LNB . Thanks

Sure. You don't need HD so the receiver will be smaller and make less heat. The local channels will not be available but that probably is not an issue for you. I like Directv and have used it with my vucube before I installed the multiple lnb traveler. Enjoy.

We did that for quite a long time. My KingDome brought in channels from 200 and up when I got too far away from home to get my locals(this was about 150 miles). I used my batwing to pull in the local network stations and usually got decent reception. Every now and then I would hit a spot where I couldn't find CBS or one of the major 3 networks but not often. Of course, we don't do much "out of the way" isolated RV'ing.
Both retired. Travel with Nicky the Schnoodle. Son graduated and is teaching high school math. We still love our 2006 34' Allegro Bay XB and have 40,000+ miles on her.

We simply transferred out home HD receiver (didn't get HD on the MH Kingdome) from our home to our Class A every winter when we took off. We used our Winegard to pull in the local channels from each city we stayed in and all worked very well. Never mentioned it to Directv as we didn't need the hassle and did not try to get locals off Directv, that becomes a pain when you get back home as the receiver needs to be reprogramed by D-TV.

+1
We don't miss the home local channels while on the road at all. The off-air channels wherever we are have enough murder, mayhem and scandal stories to make us feel right at home!

If you are going to use an HD-DVR with the single LNB dish, make sure the model is HR24, or below. Beginning with HR25 models, they are no longer compatible with a 18" dish.

Dbl check your LNB...It may appear to be one, but have two outputs on it, so you can use dual input receivers/Dvr's.

If I'm not mistaken, the good thing about DTV is that most of their stations are on 1 satellite... Unlke dish where you have to go between 110 and 119. Been a while since I had direct TV, but it may be something to check out. They may put HD channels on another satellite... I'm not entirely sure. (Been 10 years).
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

We have two HD receivers in our home and an in motion dome in the motorhome that does not get HD. Works fine but no local channels in MH. They do make an HD dish that works on a MH but not an in motion at this stime.

Yes you can put one of the receivers in the RV. Ask for the basic receiver (not HD one).
If you don't use the receiver within a 30 day period and there is no power to it, you will have to do a "reset" - you can do it online before you leave.
We were told the only satellite you need to seek is 101 for DirecTV.
